Meet John Hofheins, DMD, MD

Dr. Hofheins grew up in Rolla, Missouri, and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, where he also met his wife. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Hofheins completed his residency training at UAB, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive surgical care. His extensive education and training allow him to provide high-quality, patient-centered treatment.

 

Dr. Hofheins’ professional interests include full arch dental implant surgery, remote anchorage dental implants, complex dental implant surgery, augmentation of bone and soft tissue, third molar surgery, general anesthesia, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, maxillofacial pathology, facial trauma, and facial reconstruction.

During his years in Birmingham, Dr. Hofheins and his wife welcomed three daughters. Outside of the operating room, he enjoys spending time with his family, often exploring new places together or enjoying the outdoors at local parks. The Hofheins family also shares a passion for food and enjoys cooking and trying new recipes at home.
